On December 21st, 2021 in the hall of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) in a hybrid format, was a meeting of the International Working Group on “The Expert’s Community’s role in Universal Health Coverage for achieving Sustainable Development Goals”. That international workshop was organised by ECHD, the Department of Medical Sciences RAS together with the Department of International Cooperation of RAS, with the participation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NAS Belarus) to further develop research and educational cooperation.

9:00 AM — 1:00 PMConference HallThe Expert’s Community’s role in Universal Health Coverage for achieving Sustainable Development GoalsThere were reports on the following topics: the role of the expert council on health under IPA CIS in the universal health coverage in the CIS member states; legal aspects of interaction of the expert community of the CIS member states in the universal health coverage; the main directions of cooperation of the CIS member states in the realization of the sustainable development goals; biosafety: interdisciplinary expert approach and sustainable development goals; parliamentary activities to increase the coverage of services. Besides on that meetiing the implementation of the final declaration of the international conference (November 25, 2021) of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS) in partnership with the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe "Universal Health Coverage and Sustainable Development Goals" was discussed.
