The event considered the presentation of the Global Medical Scientific Educational and Research Platform (GMSERP), as well as the promotion of the Avicenna project for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with diabetes in the Commonwealth. The plan of research work on preclinical and clinical studies, system analysis and clinical guidelines, assessment of health care technologies and health care management technologies, assessment of the quality of health care delivery was discussed. During the meeting Tamara Dolgoshey, Member of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights, Member of the Permanent Commission on Environmental, Nature Management and Chernobyl Disaster Issues of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Belarus, Member of the Expert Council on Public Health under the IPA CIS emphasized that the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and CIS Executive Committee are effective platforms for the dialogue between the academic, industrial, medical and patient communities of the CIS member states. Evgenia Vladimirova, Executive Secretary of the Expert Council on Public Health under the IPA CIS, Secretary of CIS IPA Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights, summarized the results of the meeting by saying that the activities of the Expert Council on Public Health under the IPA CIS and Commission on Promotion of the Principles of Bioethics and Evidence-Based Medicine would surely be reflected in the improvement of the model legislative base of the CIS Member States.
