On March 30, 2023, in St. Petersburg, at the Parliamentary Center of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States, a meeting of the Commission on the development of bioethics principles and evidence-based medicine of the Expert Council on Healthcare at the IPA CIS was held. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Expert Council on Healthcare at the IPA CIS, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Scherbuk, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, national academies of sciences of the CIS member states, as well as staff of the Eurasian cooperation for clinical guidelines and public health development.
The following issues were discussed at the meeting:

• on the establishment and organization of the work of the International Expert Academic Working Group on the development of national evidence bases in public health, bioethics and biosafety of the CIS member states;
• on creation of the Global Medical Scientific Educational Research Platform (GM SERP) and implementation of tasks within the framework of the Interstate Program of Innovation Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period up to 2030;
• on the draft model law “On Drug Provision in the CIS Member States” and the “road map” for its development.
