On June 29, 2023, a field meeting of the Commission on the development of bioethics principles and evidence–based medicine of the Expert Council on Healthcare at the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Minsk.

The meeting considered the issues of formation of organizational and legal mechanisms of the International Expert Academic Working Group on the development of national evidence bases in healthcare, bioethics and biosafety of the CIS member states.

The participants heard information about the main sections of the draft model law “On drug provision in the CIS member States”, being developed in accordance with the Long–term Plan of Model Lawmaking in the Commonwealth of Independent States for the period 2023-2025.

The members of the Commission identified common approaches to the development of methodological recommendations for conducting preclinical and clinical studies, healthcare technology assessment, healthcare management technologies assessment and medical care quality assessment in the CIS member States.
